How does the design change?
The first thing we see when taking any electronic device out of the package is the design, and it is what we always tend to analyze first. It should be borne in mind that, being from the same brand, they have a fairly similar aesthetic, although there are obvious differences. Not in terms of weight and size, which is identical in both cases, nor in color, since they are two black gaming wheels. However, there are small nuances that vary.
The Logitech G29 has a more colorful design, and that’s because the steering wheel guide is blue instead of gray, like the Logitech G920, It’s also because the buttons on the Logitech G920 are characterized by being all gray except for the top four controls. Instead, on the Logitech G29 we find some blue buttons and, most strikingly, a 24-point selection wheel bordered in red.
On the other hand, the logo that we see in the center of the steering wheel changes. While the Logitech company logo reigns on the Logitech G920, the center of the G29 steering wheel is occupied by the PlayStation icon. This already gives us a clue to know what will be one of the main differences, which we will detail below. Finally, it is worth noting another difference: only the G29 has a light indicator of revolutions per minute at the top, which changes from green to red depending on how much the car is revved up.
And the pedals?
When we talk about a gaming wheel, we are actually referring to the set made up of the wheel itself and the pedals, which, in this case, are exactly the same. We highlight that the non-linear brake pedal is capable of simulating, in both cases, how the brake response would be in real life depending on the pressure of each brake. It is a technology that very clearly simulates the movements that we could make in a real race, such as skidding or the swings typical of the most irregular terrain. Compatibility, the biggest difference
We come to the most important differential point between our two protagonists, compatibility with other devices. The first thing you should know is that both wheels are compatible with PC, as long as the operating system is Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 or 11. Also, both have a USB port to connect other accessories. What changes is the compatibility with the gaming machine.
The Logitech G29 is compatible with PlayStation, specifically, with versions PS 3, 4 and 5. On the other hand, the Logitech G920 is compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. Therefore, the gaming device you have will be what determines, mainly, which gaming wheel to choose.
As for the games with which they are compatible, according to Logitech itself, there are 64 in the case of PC games, common to both models, and 42 for PlaySation and 49 for Xbox.

Logitech G29 vs G920: Which gaming wheel is more interesting?
We admit that the choice, in this case, is quite easy to make in each case, because the aspect that conditions it the most is what device you usually use to play. If you are from PlayStation, you will have to choose the Logitech G29, while if you have Xbox, the ideal would be to choose the Logitech G920 for compatibility reasons. In this sense, you should know that both have the same price, which indicates that the functionalities are the same, only the machine with which they are compatible changes.
Although, to be completely honest, the Logitech G29 has some small innovations that, for details that are, give it a more modern and attractive appearance. At least for us. We are talking, above all, about the rev indicator light, which we love because it gives us the feeling of being inside the racing car itself. Also of the variations that exist at the design level, the selection buttons that the G29 steering wheel has and that we cannot find in the G920. In addition, aesthetically it is more colorful, and that also seems more attractive to us.
Therefore, the main conclusion is that if you have one of the two gaming machines, the decision should be based on the compatibility with each of them. But, if you have both PlayStation and Xbox and have to choose, we think the Logitech G29 is a more advanced gaming wheel. For the same price, it has some additional functionality that translates into more comfort for the user.
