It’s impossible to miss. The design of the T-Rex and the T-Rex Pro draw attention for its grandeur. Both are pretty much the same in this regard. They share the same dimensions, just the T-Rex Pro is a bit heavier. Although nobody goes to these watches looking for lightness, right?

Regarding customization options, the Amazfit T-Rex is available in five colors (Rock black, gray, army green, khaki, like), while the T-Rex is only available in three (Black, blue, gray). .

Ok, it’s an exaggeration, but still the screens of these smartwatches are incredibly resistant, allowing more careless use of them. At this point both models are identical.

Both the Amazfit T-Rex and the Amazfit T-Rex Pro have a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen, covered with Corning Gorilla 3 glass, specially treated to prevent marked finger prints from remaining. Living on the edge without fearing for the safety of the smartwatch.

For example, both smartwatches can monitor the heart rate, the level of oxygen in the blood or even the quality of rest, being able to access all this information (and much more) in the App to have full control of the body.

However, there are important differences to keep in mind. The Amazfit T-Rex has up to 14 activity recording modes, which would be acceptable if the Amazfit T-Rex Pro did not exceed 100 recording modes. The difference is overwhelming. Right now the most important question is: What activities are you going to do with your smartwatch? The answer may dictate judgment.

Another point related to everything that we have discussed in this section and that delves into both models, is positioning. The Amazfit T-Rex Pro offers almost perfect accuracy and fantastic location speed due to the four global satellite navigation systems available. The T-Rex, however, only has GPS + GLONASS.

Consistent autonomy

After all that we have shown about the two Amazfit smartwatches, it would be a shame if they did not have a battery that would allow them to express their full potential.

Even so, as you may have noticed, there is an asterisk marking this point. What does it mean? Pay attention to the following because it can be confusing.

The first of all is to say that these values ​​are true, as long as the use given to the watch is little more than symbolic. Therefore, a priori we could say that it is true. It is therefore understandable that the autonomy is reduced depending on the use, being able to establish an average duration of around ten days for each smartwatch. There are no relevant differences in this regard.

As for the charging time, the Amazfit T-Rex Pro does take less time to get a full charge. Around twenty minutes or half an hour less than the T-Rex. It is nothing special, but it is something that is appreciated.

We also want to mention that the hard image of these devices is not free. The T-Rex Pro supports up to 10 ATM, while the T-Rex stays at 5 ATM. But the thing doesn’t just stop here, since both smartwatches have military certification that guarantees their resistance to the different elements. Amazfit is not kidding.

Both models are robust, with good image quality and remarkable battery life. This is enough to meet the minimum requirements of a smartwatch focused on “hectic” activities that require an extra bit of durability.

For this reason we have to say that, except for positioning, the rest of the differences are not decisive. Therefore, if you are going to carry out activities in which a good location prevails above all else, the Amazfit T-Rex Pro is the one that best suits you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a versatile smartwatch and you don’t care about the location issue, the T-Rex will save you a few euros.
