Price quality! Roborock Q5 Pro+ Power: 5,500 Pascals (Pa) |
Taking advantage of the launch of the Roborock Q8 Max+ and Roborock Q5 Pro+ robot vacuum cleaners by Roborock, I would not like to make a comparison between them and the Roborock Q7 Max+, which has already been on the market for a year.
It is clear that the new models have innovated certain aspects, but there are still some features of the Roborock Q7 Max+ that are very worthwhile. In addition, we recommend that you be attentive since prices do not vary much and the choice depends purely on the features that each robot offers.
Let’s start with the comparison!
Roborock Q8 Max+ vs Q7 Max+ vs Q5 Pro+ – Comparison Table

Suction power has been increased with the new Robots
When comparing the Roborock Q8 Max+, Q7 Max+ and Q5 Pro+ robot vacuum cleaners, suction power seems to be an important aspect. The Q8 Max+ and Q5 Pro+ robots lead this feature with an astonishing 5,500 Pascals (Pa) suction power. In contrast, the Q7 Max+ has a slightly lower suction power of 4,200 Pa.
This difference can translate into more effective cleaning performance, especially on dense carpets or surfaces with more embedded dirt. Therefore, think carefully about the nature of the surfaces you need to clean and the level of suction required to meet the specific needs of the floor in your home.
Autonomy has also increased
The Q8 Max+ and Q5 Pro+ offer an autonomy of 240 minutes, guaranteeing extensive cleaning sessions without the need to recharge. On the other hand, the Q7 Max+ has a slightly lower autonomy of 180 minutes. The choice will depend on the size of your home and the autonomy you think is necessary.
However, we do not give this point much importance because the three robot vacuum cleaners are capable of automatically going to the charging base and recharging the battery necessary to continue cleaning at the same point where they stopped.
Deposit sizes vary
One of the key differences between the Roborock Q8 Max+, Q7 Max+ and Q5 Pro+ robot vacuum cleaners lies in the size of their tanks. The Q5 Pro+ stands out with its 770 ml dust container, considerably larger than the 470 ml containers on the Q8 Max+ and Q7 Max+. This large tank capacity of the Q5 Pro+ is ideal for homes with pets, as it can hold large amounts of hair and dirt without requiring frequent emptying. In comparison, although the reservoirs of the Q8 Max+ and Q7 Max+ models are large enough for standard cleaning sessions.
However, this feature does not seem too important to us because all three models are compatible with a self-emptying base that allows robots to deposit dirt on it automatically.
DuoRoller Brush
The Roborock Q8 Max+ and Roborock Q5 Pro+ robots have the advanced DuoRoller brush, made up of two rubber rollers that guarantee efficient cleaning on both hard floors and carpets, minimizing unwanted tangles.
In contrast, the Roborock Q7 Max+ uses a single roller, which may result in a lower hair removal rate and slightly reduced effectiveness compared to its counterparts. In fact, according to the brand, the DuoRoller brush achieves a hair removal rate that is 20% higher than the Roborock Q7 Max+ anti-tangle brush.
Not all have electric water tank
Both the Roborock Q8 Max+ and the Roborock Q7 Max+ offer a mopping function with electronic humidity regulation. This means that you can adjust the humidity level of the mop according to the needs of different rooms, ensuring effective mopping without leaving the floor too wet when not necessary. In addition, the capacity of this tank is 350 ml, which allows them to scrub several rooms before needing to be refilled.
On the other hand, the Roborock Q5 Pro+ also features a mopping function, although it has some key differences compared to its counterparts. Firstly, it does not offer electronic humidity regulation, which means that the scrubbing intensity cannot be adjusted individually for each room. In addition, its water tank has a capacity of 180 ml, which may require more frequent refills, especially when you want to work on large areas.
Ability to avoid obstacles
One of the most notable technological advances in robot vacuum cleaners is their ability to intelligently avoid obstacles. In this sense, the Roborock Q8 Max+ is the only one with the ability to adapt to messy environments or obstacles. It incorporates a front camera that allows it to detect objects and avoid them intelligently. This feature is especially useful in homes with children, pets, or clutter-prone areas, as the Q8 Max+ will avoid objects such as toys, cables, and other common obstacles based on their nature.
In comparison, both the Roborock Q7 Max+ and Roborock Q5 Pro+ also have advanced navigation capabilities, but they are not equipped with a front camera to detect obstacles as accurately as the Q8 Max+. Although these models can avoid basic obstacles, they would never match the effectiveness of the Q8 Max+ in detecting and avoiding objects.
Conclusion – We have a clear winner
The choice between the Roborock Q8 Max+, the Roborock Q7 Max+ and the Roborock Q5 Pro+ will depend on your needs and preferences, although we have a clear winner. If you value exceptional suction power, an advanced brush, electronically regulated mopping function and the ability to intelligently avoid obstacles, the Roborock Q8 Max+ is the ideal choice. In our opinion, it is the most recommended model because it includes the best features of each of the other robots.
On the other hand, the Roborock Q5 Pro+ is a suitable option if you are looking for a more affordable option without compromising too much on performance. In addition, it offers a much larger tank capacity than other models.
The Roborock Q7 Max+ has received very good reviews from buyers, but it does not have some innovative features such as the DuoRoller brush or object analysis. We would only recommend it if you can find it at a much cheaper price than the Roborock Q8 Max+.
