The Xiaomi ecosystem has multiplied very quickly in recent years; so much so that new brands have emerged from it that, today, have their own entity. One of the sectors where the growth has been most pronounced is that of robot vacuum cleaners, where Xiaomi technology is characterized by its quality-price ratio. For this reason, we wanted to compare the performance of three mid-high range robots from three brands that emerged from the same environment: Xiaomi, Dreame and Roborock.

Specifically, we have looked at the Xiaomi X10+, Dreame L10 Ultra and Roborock Q Revo models . As you can imagine, there are many common aspects between the three vacuum cleaners, but there are also important differences. One of the most obvious is the maximum suction power, which is much higher in the Dreame and Roborock robots than in the Xiaomi one.

Another difference that we will delve into later is the multifunctionality of the base, since, although the three robots include one, it is not equally complete in all cases. The navigation system is the same in all three robots, which move with laser technology, although only two of them incorporate additional obstacle recognition technology.

However, if you want to know all the detailed differences between the three robots, keep reading our comparison!

Three very similar designs with different bases

Xiaomi X10+ vs Dreame L10 Ultra vs Roborock Q Revo

It was important to contextualize the article and make it clear that, although today they are independent brands, Xiaomi, Dreame and Roborock come from the same ecosystem. Therefore, it is not unusual to see that, aesthetically, there are few differences between them. The three robot vacuum cleaners have the same dimensions and are even available in white, the characteristic color of the Xiaomi environment. In addition, the three models we have chosen have an automatic base included, but you can buy just the robots without the base if you prefer.

Focusing on the base, it is interesting to analyze them in detail because they do not have the same functionalities. Roughly speaking , we will tell you that the base of the Roborock Q Revo is only self-emptying. That is, the robot empties the tank on its own inside the base, with a 2.5 liter capacity. For its part, the bases of the Xiaomi X10+ and Dreame L10 Ultra, in addition to self-emptying, include automatic mop washing, automatic drying and water refill. That is, they are more complete bases, which makes their size and, above all, their price, also higher.

Two steps in suction power

We now talk about another aspect that draws our attention when comparing the performance of robot vacuum cleaners, the maximum suction power. It should be noted that, in this case, the three models have 4 power levels to choose from, something essential to optimize autonomy (we will talk about it later). However, let’s say there are two steps of suction power.

On the one hand , the Xiaomi X10+ achieves a maximum power of 4000 Pascals, far from the 5300 and 5500 Pascals achieved, respectively, by the Dreame and Roborock robots. Be careful, achieving a power of 4000 Pascals is really good (we usually consider that, from 2000-2500, the power is good), but compared to 5500, it is below. In practice, any of the three robots can suck both liquids and small solid remains, such as crumbs or cereals.

The type of brush influences the performance

Normally, robot vacuum cleaners have a main brush and one or two side brushes as reinforcement. In this case, all these robots have a main multifunction rubber brush, designed so that tangles do not occur when they suck up hair, and a side one.

The three robot vacuum cleaners mop in the same way

Roborock Q Revo vs Dreame L10 Ultra vs Xiaomi X10+

We come to another aspect in which certain nuances must also be taken into account. The three models we have compared incorporate a scrubbing mop to complete the cleaning and mopping in addition to vacuuming. However, not everyone does it with the same intensity and effectiveness. The Xiaomi X10+ has a double rotating pad and a fairly automated scrubbing system which, honestly, has been a surprise.

For their part, the Dreame L10 Ultra and the Roborock Q Revo also have two highly absorbent rotating mopping mops, and are also capable of cleaning them at the base.

How long does the battery of robot vacuum cleaners last?

This is another of the big doubts that users usually have before purchasing. And, once again, there are important differences. The Xiaomi X10+ can work for approximately 2 hours, depending on the intensity level you choose. The Roborock Q Revo raises that time to 3 hours, while the Dreame L10 Ultra goes up to 3 and a half hours. In general, keep in mind that both Dreame and Roborock robots have a higher capacity battery, because the actual duration varies depending on the power level. Of course, in all three cases we see that there is a recharge and resume option, to automate the total cleaning.

Navigation and obstacle detection

If you are not very familiar with robot vacuum cleaners, let us tell you that there are two important aspects that determine intelligence in movement. On the one hand, the navigation technology itself; that is, the system that makes it move. In this sense, the three robots move thanks to laser technology, which is the most advanced of all because it allows for complete mapping of the home and establishing the most optimized route. The Xiaomi also completes its navigation with an RGB camera.

On the other hand, it must be taken into account if the robot has additional technology that allows it to identify more obstacles in addition to steps and walls. And, in this sense, we only see it in Xiaomi and Roborock robots, but not in Dreame.

Control by app and voice in all

Dreame L10 Ultra vs Xiaomi X10+ vs Roborock Q Revo

As is common today, the three robot vacuum cleaners can be controlled via smartphone, using the corporate app in each case. In fact, Dreame and Roborock robots can also be linked with the Xiaomi app, although we recommend, to the extent possible depending on each country, to use the brand’s app. Likewise, in all three cases they can connect with the virtual assistants Google Home, Alexa and Siri.

Interactive maps to manage cleaning

One of the most interesting similarities between the three robot vacuum cleaners is that all of them can create interactive maps of your home to analyze the space and give you the option to manage cleaning by room. That is, with the mobile apps of each robot you can decide what order you want it to follow, delimit the areas through which you do not want it to pass or schedule the start, among other things. In addition, all of them can store several maps, so you can use one for each floor.

Which robot vacuum cleaner are you most interested in?

Now that you know what the main differences are between the three Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners, Dreame and Roborock, it is time to decide which one best suits what you are looking for. If we compare the price of the three, the Roborock Q Revo is the one that is usually available at a cheaper price. In addition, it is the most complete because it is powerful, has a 100% automatic base and distinguishes objects.

The Xiaomi robot, for its part, is the one with the highest price, although the difference with the Dreame robot is smaller. In addition, it should be noted that, although its suction power is lower, it has an obstacle identification system that works very well. And, in the case of the Dreame L10 Ultra, we highlight the good quality-price ratio it has, mainly due to the good opinions it has and the great suction power it achieves.

That said, it’s only up to you to choose the robot vacuum cleaner that best meets your needs. Think about what are the priority aspects for you and it will be easier for you to choose. In any case, do not forget that these are three robots that come from the same technological environment, so with any of them you have guaranteed results.
