Oral hygiene is a fundamental part of well-being. It is not just about showing off a brilliant smile, but about ensuring that both teeth and gums receive proper care to avoid unexpected visits to the dentist. Technological advances in recent years have not neglected this aspect, providing the opportunity to take advantage of developments in something as simple as brushing teeth. Using a manual toothbrush three times a day is a fantastic option to maintain the health of the mouth, but what if cleaning is implemented with the latest advances? The results speak for themselves.

Electric brush autonomy

Oral-B Pro 1 vs. 2 vs. 3

This is an issue that worries a lot to those who are going to start with this type of device. Will it leave me stranded? It takes a long time to charge? What if I’m going to use it and it doesn’t have a battery?

They are completely understandable doubts, so we are going to solve them.

On a full charge, both the Oral-B Pro and Oral-B Pro 2 have an average battery life of more than two weeks. Obviously, the duration of the battery directly depends on the use that is given to the brush, but as reflected, it is not a matter that you should worry too much about. For example, the Oral-B Pro 1, which has a shorter autonomy, allows a use of ten days before having to charge it.

As for how to recharge these devices, you have to throw away cables and the like. A base (which will be connected to the current) will allow the battery to be recharged in a simple and aesthetic way, in which the three brushes will be held vertically during the charging time.

How does brushing work?

If it is the first time that you are going to use an electric toothbrush, you have to understand that brushing is in a totally different way.

Here it does not consist of brushing forcefully from one side to the other, but you will have to move the brush over the enamel of your teeth and let the movement of the head do its job.

In this sense, the Pro 3 has three brushing modes: daily cleaning, commonly used; the whitening mode to focus more on cleaning and the sensitive mode to take better care of the gums.

On the other hand, the Oral-B Pro 2 has two modes: daily cleaning and gum care.

Finally, we have the Oral-B Pro1, which offers a single brushing mode: power on and brush. However, it is an option that can be very interesting if this electric toothbrush does not convince you and you want to start with the simplest.

What else does an electric toothbrush offer?

Oral-B Pro 3 vs. 1 vs. 2

Those who are not in this world believe that electric brushing consists solely of head movement. Perhaps twenty years ago the thing was yes, but today’s brushes go much further.

For starters , all three of the Oral-B models have a pressure sensor that will alert if you are applying too much to the teeth with the brush. This is very useful, especially if it is your first time using these devices.

Now , the Oral-B Pro 3 has a 360º pressure control that increases the care of brushing not only in the enamel of the teeth, but also in the gums. The other two Oral-B models do not have this feature.

Did you know that average brushing time is less than recommended?

This is reflected in the different studies. One pass through the teeth is not enough to achieve proper hygiene.

Luckily, Oral-B incorporates a timer (two minutes specifically) into these three brushes that will notify you when the recommended brushing time has been used. This small detail can make all the difference to achieve a magazine smile.

No to dental discrimination!

But Oral-B does not stop there, for them it is not enough that you spend the necessary time to get a good cleaning, but they give you the necessary information to treat each of the pieces of your teeth. How do you get this? Well, the Pro 3, Pro 2 and Pro 1 alert you to change zones during brushing to maximize time.

For tastes colors

Oral-B Pro 3 vs. 2 vs. 1

We end this comparison by mentioning the different colors in which each brush can be found.

It is true that we are talking about an unimportant aspect, but that can be decisive if you are still not very sure which one to take home.

The Oral-B Pro 3 and Pro 1 are available in four colours: light pink, blue, black and intense white. On the other hand, the Oral-B Pro 2 can be purchased in two colors: white and turquoise.

It may be interesting to know this if you plan to give a brush as a gift or ensure that they match the rest of the bathroom decoration.

Which electric toothbrush did we like the most?

We have already said before that these three Oral-B models are ideal for those who want to start in this world. Why?

In general, these are good performing brushes, easy to use and, perhaps most importantly, at an irresistible price.

For this reason, we have to recommend the Oral-B Pro 3 more strongly, since for a few more euros you can enjoy more brushing modes and greater pressure control.
