How is an electronic toothbrush?
Good question.
In itself, its design is quite reminiscent of a traditional brush. There is the handle, where inside is the motor and battery. In the upper part is the round head (present in the four models), with whose movement the brushing is carried out.
The dimensions, although they vary between the four models, are not decisive.
Accessories and aesthetics
The brushes, together with their charging base, stand out in the bathroom, so it is always good to know if they will match the rest of the decoration.
In this sense, the Oral-B Pro 600 is only available in white. The Pro 750 can be purchased in black or white. On the other hand, the Oral-B Pro 2000 and 2500 offer up to four different colors: black, blue, white and pink.
As for the pack that we bring in this comparison, watch out! Since the Oral-B Pro 750 and the Oral-B Pro 2500 come with a travel case. Is it possible to find the brushes with cases? Of course, they just have to dig around a bit.
Can the brush run out of battery while brushing?
By power, you can. You can also win the lottery or be struck by lightning.
The possibility exists, but in this case, if it happens to you, it is quite likely that it is your fault.
These four Oral-B models have wireless charging, so you only have to rest the brush on the base to recharge the battery. Of course, the base must be plugged into the current.
But even if you’re a bit left in this regard, the Oral-B Pro 600 and 750 have a battery life of up to ten days, while the Oral-B Pro 2000 and 2500 exceed two weeks of battery life.
3D technology in a brush?
It may sound a bit strange, but it is easier than it seems.
3D technology refers to the fact that the head moves in three different ways (it oscillates, rotates and pulsates), thus achieving a much more effective cleaning.
This technology is present in all four Oral-B Pro models.
Brushing pressure?
This is a hot topic in all things electric toothbrush: “pressure”.
For those who are new to these devices, they still keep the habit of rubbing the teeth hard, forgetting that part of that work is already done by the brush itself with the movement of the head.
To prevent damage to the gums due to this excess pressure, Oral-B has incorporated a sensor that warns when too much pressure is exerted on the teeth. The Oral-B Pro 750 and the Oral-B Pro 2000 and 2500 have a pressure sensor.
However, none of the brushes we are reviewing today feature 360º pressure control. This function regulates the brushing speed automatically to prevent damage to the gums.
How long do you have to use the electric toothbrush?
The time estimated by dentists and oral hygiene professionals is two minutes of brushing for proper cleaning.
Oral-B incorporates a timer into its brushes that indicates the brushing time so that you meet at least the minimum time and maximize each process.
Brushing modes
One of the great advantages of electric toothbrushes is that it is possible to adjust the speed of the head or the intensity of the brushing according to your needs.
However, the Oral-B Pro 600 and 750 only have the daily cleaning mode, that is, turn on and off. Interesting if you are looking for an electric toothbrush without any complications.
Instead, the Oral-B Pro 2000 and Oral-B Pro 2500 offer two cleaning modes: daily cleaning and gum care, which undoubtedly gives a lot of versatility to the use of the brushes. Simple, but with a little bit of customization.
CrossAction and Sensi Ultrathin?
Surely you have noticed the pink or green color that accompanies several of the brushes in this comparison.
You have to know that this refers to the type of head that each brush incorporates (which can be interchanged without problems)
The CrossAction head is more focused on cleaning and plaque removal, leaving no teeth behind. The filaments are arranged at an angle of 16 degrees to gain access to any gap for a much more intense cleaning.
The Sensi UltraThin brush head is effective in cleaning but takes better care of the gums. It presents rounded and ultra-fine filaments for a more delicate cleaning.
We Picked Our Pro Series Brush
We have analyzed these four brushes step by step, so we can give a full-fledged verdict.
We are definitely left with the Oral-B Pro 2000 and 2500, since these brushes have a longer autonomy, more brushing modes, pressure sensor and more customization options. In addition, if we take the price into account, the difference compared to the other models is irrelevant and makes it not worth betting on the savings in this case.
